Independent Artist Ca$o to Drop Concept-Infused EP “Colours”
Massachusetts born artist, Ca$o, wastes no time and takes advantage of his many abilities. To cut out a middle man, Ca$o taught himself to write, produce and engineer his own music. The independent artist also plays a number of musical instruments! As if he wasn’t talented enough, he also enjoys painting and drawing whenever he is experiencing writer’s block. Because he is an artist of every realm, the name “Ca$o” A.K.A. “Marky Picasso” was born.
Coming from a musical family, Ca$o has been in the studio since he was 3 years old due to his father coming to America from Brazil to make it in the music industry. Ca$o wrote his first rap in 2nd grade and learned to play instruments a couple years later. Being around music all of his life, Ca$o has learned to appreciate many different genres. He does not categorize himself into one specific genre, but happens to make Rap music more frequently than anything else.
Ca$o’s goal is to leave a legacy with longevity. Nothing in his life, thus far, has stopped him from trying to achieve that. From being a miracle baby, to overcoming depression, to being saved from a suicide attempt, surviving multiple car accidents, losing his best friend, and being homeless in Los Angeles, Ca$o is undoubtedly still here on Earth for a special reason.
Ca$o has a unique neurological called, “Synthesesia,” in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. In other words, when one sense is activated, another unrelated sense is also activated at the same time. For instance, this could be taken in the form of hearing music while simultaneously sensing that sound as swirls or patterns of color. With that being said, Ca$o’s new EP “Colours” is appropriately named and will be dropping August 3rd! Each song in this EP represents a color.
