Born and raised in Los Angeles, J.Anthny is an upcoming artist who is ready to share his truth with the world! He has been blessed to have worked with some greats such as Blxst who has steadily risen since 2019, and Willie B also known as The Ichiban Don who produced some of TDE’s biggest hits from “Ignorance is Bliss.” J.Anthny goes on to describe his state “I’m a one-stop shop, from producing to writing to actually mixing and mastering a lot of my own records.” What he enjoys the most about being an artist is the freedom to make any type of music he wants. He is currently working on his new single “You Make Me Better” produced by my show DJ DJ Kaptin. The track will be out officially on December 9th! Be sure to stay in the. loop with J.Anthny and you can get to know him below!
Where does your musical inspiration come from?
Music was always my outlet, feelings I couldn’t put in words I put in songs. Music has been there for me in every situation, especially at my lowest when I felt I had to go through my struggles alone I would just write and that always put in the best mood. The feeling I get in the studio or on stage is something that I can’t put in perfect word form but it’s definitely my first love!
How would you describe your genre/style of talent?
I’m a one-stop shop, from producing to writing to actually mixing and mastering a lot of my own records.
If you could collab with any artist in the industry, who would it be?
Who is your biggest motivation?
My kids, I’ve been doing music since they were born and I’m a prime example that you can make anything happen if you put in that work!
What are some of your favorite highlights/memories/accomplishments that you have from being in the industry?
I have to say the biggest highlight was walking in to work with MyGuyMars and he just found out he got a diamond plaque on “Stonger” with Kanye West, I never knew he even did production on that album. That was the ultimate motivation!!
Describe your genre/sound.
My sound is smooth, but definitely gives you what to get you through any day. I mean I got that Saturday cleaning up music to radio ready! Y’all late, we gon’ catch y’all up tho!
Has it been a smooth road to get to where you are now in your career? Are there any obstacles you had to overcome?
Never was smooth, my parents were addicted to drugs at an early age, I grew up in group homes and I had 3 kids before I was 21, but I never stopped it was always the way I was gonna provide for my family.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
I love every single one of y’all! My fans make my music more valid.
